Managed Finance · Flagship service

A capable finance function without building a large internal team.

Current books, clearer cash and timely management information through one accountable service. SciFin can run the agreed finance work or support your existing team, using connected systems and supervised AI where they add practical value.

Who this is for

Finance support that fits the way your business works.

SciFin Managed Finance is built for owner-led businesses, stretched finance teams and multi-entity organisations that need dependable bookkeeping, stronger controls and clearer reporting.

01

Owner-led small businesses

You want current books and a clear view of cash, with agreed support and a predictable recurring fee.

02

Overloaded finance teams

Selected processes need clearer ownership, better controls and more capacity.

03

Multi-entity organisations

You need consistent workflows and reporting across entities, teams or systems.

What you receive

Useful finance work. A clear regular rhythm.

These are examples of a scoped service—not a promise that every item is included. We agree the work, frequency, responsibilities and fee before starting.

Regular finance work

Keep the essentials moving

Current books and reconciliations, invoice status, agreed customer follow-up and a clear list of items needing approval.

A month-end view

Know what the numbers mean

A concise management pack: profit and loss, cash, key balances and relevant comparisons, with data limitations made clear.

Review & decisions

See what needs attention

Practical commentary, priorities and agreed actions. Broader budgets, forecasts, costing and analytics can be scoped as needed.

Finance Essentials

A practical starting point for smaller businesses.

For suitable owner-led, service and trade businesses that need current books, cash discipline and concise monthly information. We start with a proportionate review and identify any catch-up work separately.

One brand. Room to grow.

Move to fuller Managed Finance or co-managed support when your reporting, systems or organisational needs become more complex.

Discuss your finance needs
How are fees agreed?

Your proposal sets the recurring fee, billing frequency, transaction/volume assumptions and service inclusions. Setup, catch-up, software and specialist costs are identified separately where applicable. There is no one-size-fits-all public price, and changes to scope are agreed before additional work.

What stays with you or your specialist adviser?

You retain spending and payment approvals, bank-detail verification and material business decisions. Tax, BAS, audit, statutory and financial-product advice are not automatically included. Any regulated work requires a verified authorised practitioner and a clear responsibility arrangement.

Do we need to change accounting software?

Not necessarily. We begin with your existing systems, what is working and where information gets stuck. Any proposed change should have a practical reason, agreed scope and transition plan.

Human control

Defined authority at every material decision.

Supervised AI and automation perform only approved work within explicit systems, permissions and escalation rules.

Recurring fee with stated scope, billing frequency and volume assumptions
Written service levels and change-control rules
Named client and SciFin accountable owners
Least-privilege system access
Material actions remain human-approved
Agreed review of exceptions, risk and improvement

Engagement path

A disciplined route from current state to operating rhythm.

01

Reset

Baseline, stabilise and define the agreed operating model.

02

Transition

Configure systems, controls, procedures, reports and responsibilities.

03

Run

Operate the agreed rhythm and review daily or scheduled exceptions.

04

Improve

Measure outcomes and expand capability only where evidence supports it.

SciFin principle

The client buys a finance outcome.

SciFin chooses a practical mix of finance judgement, connected software, controlled workflows and supervised AI. Your scope and fee reflect the work you actually need. People remain accountable for the important decisions.
